library & its
resources.
Founded by a group of women in the Study Group in the 1920s, the Library has grown and changed along with its community. In 1993, the Library left cramped spaces for its current 45,000 square foot home.
The area to the right
of the entrance is an
open air patio.

Computers are strategically placed around the building. There are tables for visitors to use, study rooms and meeting rooms that can be reserved by the public.
The Harlingen Library has free programs for all ages. Currently, the library is open seven
days a week. I am happy to see the Library available to everyone in a community with
varied schedules.
