Filling Our Motorhome's Propane Tank @ Adams Heating & Cooling in Rotterdam, New York

Baby it's cold outside....  It's 37 degrees now.  Last night's low was in the 20s.  Eric and I will be overnighting in Walmart parking lots as we travel south to Texas.  Without electric hookups, we are forced to use our propane fueled furnace to stay warm at night.  Currently our propane level is 38% and we do not want to chance running out of this fuel.

We drive a few miles up the
Cooling to get propane.

Eric pulls in next to the
large propane tank.

He opens the bay door that
has the propane fill
hole & its yellow cap.

A close up of the fill hole
& the LP Emergency
Shutoff.

The motorhome's propane must be shut off before filling the tank.  Safety first...

That's a very large propane
tank.

The meter that will show
how much propane has
been pumped into
our motorhome.

Let the propane fill
proceed.

We got a total of
17 gallons.

At $4.00 per gallon, it cost $68.00 to fill our propane tank.  Let's start our trip south to Texas, avoiding highways as much as we can.
