Info for Seniors at the Public Library in Downtown Schenectady, New York

The Library in downtown
Schenectady hosted a workshop
on Social Security benefits &
local resources for Seniors

There's a lot programs for
Seniors at the Schenectady
Jewish Community Center.

 Connects brought some
great information for
older adults.

I picked ups some Social
Security brochures to
study.

Eric and I are not eligible to collect Social Security, yet.  We need to carefully review our options and make choices that best fit us.

A Social Security Representative
gave an overview of the agency's
benefits for retirees, the disabled,
widows aged 60 + up, and more.

The presenter left lots of time for questions, which was a good thing...  Everyone had questions about various Social Security benefits and services.

This workshop will be repeated on Friday, June 17 at 1:00 pm at the Schenectady Jewish Community Center, 2565 Balltown Road, Schenectady, New York 12309.  I recommend attending, if you can fit it into your schedule.  If not, please look for future workshops at other libraries and community centers.  There are many services available to older adults ; we just don't know about them, yet.
