Lunch at Three Rivers Eatery & Brewhouse in Farmington, New Mexico

Eric and I worked up an appetite walking around Downtown Farmington.  Eric pulled out his phone and looked for a place to eat lunch.  www.yelp.com users give Three Rivers Eatery & Brewhouse high ratings.  Eric wants to sample their Colorado beers and try something new for lunch.  Their hamburgers get rave reviews.  I'm hungrier after looking at Yelp.com.  Let's go eat!

During our visit, Eric and I chatted with owners John and Bob.  John told me many of the items that decorate the walls were found when he and Bob were renovating this 1912 building.  Because of my interest in the decor of the Eatery, he recommends we stop at the Tap and Game Room.

Eric got a "build your own"

beef flight & Coq au Vin

with Bread for lunch.

A fellow diner recommended the Green Chile Turkey Stew, do Eric ordered a cup.

 

I ordered the Southwest Burger

with Green Chile, Avocado,

Lettuce, Tomato & Onion

with French Fries on a

Ciabatta Bun.

Our lunch was amazing!  Chef Jeff is a wizard in the kitchen.

John loves talking about things to do in Farmington.  He found out that I am a retired librarian and gave us directions to the Farmington Public Library.  John gave Eric directions to access off road trails on the outskirts of the city. There's also a trail that follows the river.  Visotos park at the Courtyard Marriott  to access the river walk.

Chile Turkey Stew recipe

& a copy was printed 

out for him.

He will be using a calculator to adjust the ingredient amounts for a smaller yield.  The recipe makes five gallons of stew.
