Lunch at Miller House Pub & Cafe in Owensville, Missouri

I think the exterior of the
F.G. Henneke's Hall is
molded tin.

 is located here.

Lost Valley Lake Resort
fans are available on
the tables.

The owners of Miller House Pub and Cafe are music fans.

The husband is a
Beatles fan.

Beatles Boulevard is
adjacent to the bar.

The wife is a Bob Seger
fan.

Missouri that seat less

Eric & I had "Go" Burgers
& Fries for lunch.

The burgers are made with
Green Onion Cheese &
Green Onion Sauce.

Very tasty!

During lunch, we learned about this historic building.  J.G. Henneke's Hall was built in 1900 and has always been a bar.

A 1920s photo of the
bar.

The back bar was sold to a Hollywood scenery company and was used in the film, Back to the Future II.

I was allowed to go
upstairs...

The walls & ceiling are
lined with tin.

The stage was here when
the building was built.

 1900s play

The photo is a copy from the Gasconade County Historical Society.

Some visitors to the upstairs
room claim to been in
 contact with spirits.

SyFy TV's Ghost Hunters visited Owensville recently and investigated Miller House Pub and Cafe and and a private home. Locals hope that the crew will return and film an episode here.

A chance stop at Miller House turned into a fascinating tour of the building and our first taste of "GO" (Green Onion) Burgers. Eric and I had a great afternoon!
