Driving Southwest to Forest City, Iowa

A Vulture unfurls its
wings in a treetop.

Pine Trees...  I haven't
seen Pine Trees in a
long time.

There are so many acres
of Corn between farms.

Eric points out the
sculpted fields.

An Amish woman drives
an open wagon outside
of Decorah.

This billboard catches
my eye...

A photo of John Wayne &
Don't much like quitters.

Followed by Smokey the
Bear....

The hay bales on this truck
are over-sized.

We cross the Iowa
State Line.

A stop at Mobility RV

We unhitch the Jeep &
wait in line to enter the
Winnebago Rally
Grounds.

Eric receives our registration
packet & moves forward.

The Registration Tent
is busy with incoming
RVs.

I follow our motorhome
to its parking spot.

After we plug into the electric service, level and put out the sides, it's time to decorate.  The Winnebago Grand National Rally theme this year is "Down Under."  It's all things Australian, mate. With that in mind, Eric did some shopping on Amazon.com.

Eric stands next to our
motorhome with
Muriel the Marsupial.

We are flying an Australian
flag & a playful Kangaroo
flag.

Welcome to the Outback.

Muriel points the way
to Ayers Rock.

It's time to kick back, have a cocktail and plan our time at the 2015 Winnebago Grand National Rally.
