The museum has displays on George's life... His first career as a surveyor; enlistment as a Major in the French and Indian War; serving in the House of Burgesses; Commander of the Continental Army; first American President.

George Washington's False Teeth

were made of human teeth cow

teeth & elephant ivory (not wood).

His dentures required constant adjustment to function naturally.

All visitors are given tickets with specific times to visit the mansion.

The mansion is decorated with bright colors and busy prints.  Martha ensured that it was a show place for their many guests.  The Potomac River flows past the back porch, with its many chairs set out for after dinner visiting.
