Riding Bikes on the Bike Path Near Jamestown, Virginia

The Virginia Capital Bike
Trail starts near Jamestown
Settlement.

Jamestown Settlement is a living history museum.  Buildings have been constructed to show what life was like in 17th century colonial Virginia.

Buses wait for
their cargo.

Eric at the start of the
Virginia Capital Trail.

We are planning to ride 6.6 miles of this 28 mile trail before turning around and returning to our car.

We pass a bunch of
flowering Daffodils.

A Deer runs into the woods.

Followed by four more.

This section of the bike trail
 is curvilinear.

We cross a swamp
on a boardwalk.

The bike trail follows
the road for a bit.

Chickahominy Riverfront Park

Let's go check it out...

The first half of our bike ride was easy....  We had the wind at our backs.
