Riding Bikes at Sandy Bottom Nature Park in Hampton, Virginia

Eric found a bike trail at

The bike trail is
hard packed.

The bike trail goes along
Sandy Bottom Lake.

There's a fenced in
Bark Park for dogs.

The trail winds back
to the lake.

A viewing area looks out onto a marshy area,

This sign tells visitors to
stay out of the Wildlife
Management Area.

Eric spotted Turtles sunning
themselves on a piece
of board.

We are reminded of the Sea Lions we saw sunning themselves at Pier 39 in San Francisco Bay.

There are few signs
of spring here.

Right now, it looks
like fall.

Our ride around Sandy Bottom Lake takes us to the boat launch area.

Paddle boats launch
from a deck.

Canoes wait to be
put into the water.

Today's ride was a lot of fun...  Peddling is a little harder on a hard packed surface.  The trail is narrow with a few sharp turns.
