Downtown Macon, Georgia

This Greek Revival home, built
in 1853, is known as the
Cannonball House

This house damaged by a cannon ball during the Battle of Dunlap Hill on July 30, 1864.

The bayed windows make
this building stand out.

The Grand Opera
House

Built 1883 - 1884

was erected in 1879.

I love corner doorways.

The turret is a bonus.

Turrets are popular in Macon, Georgia.

The top of this turret reminds
me of a medieval castle.

Christ was founded
 in 1826.

Services have been held in
this building since 1887.
