A Ride Along the Spanish Moss Bike Trail in Beaufort, South Carolina

Eric parked at the Spanish

This is a Rails to Trails
bike path...

The old train shed

Just as our bike ride begins,
we pass a deserted
 warehouse.

A bench welcomes
visitors.

We pass open water.

Three Egrets sit
in the tall grass.

The straight bike trail
curves.

The Rotary Club of the
Lowcountry adopted this
section of the trail.

A Vulture circles above.

Our lunchtime view.

A Heron sits on a
section of fence.

The trail continues...

There's room for a few cars
& a bench at this end
of the bike trail.

This is the end of the
bike trail...  for now.

When completed, the
Spanish Moss Bike
Trail will be 13.6
miles long.

Eric and I start back along the trail.

A blur catches my eye..

.... a Heron in flight

All too soon, we are
back at the train shed.

The inside of the
train shed...

Our ride has ended.
