A Ride Along the Flint River Bike Trail in Albany, Georgia

is down the hill from
the Ray Charles Memorial.

Eric & I put on our bike
helmets & start off....

The trail is concrete
& wide.

I'm comfortable riding side by side with Eric on this trail.

The Flint River is a few
feet from the trail.

After about half a mile, the trail leaves the side of the river.

The path is covered beneath
a railroad trestle, protecting
bikers & walkers from debris.

We pass a recycled concrete
storage yard.

It can be used in roadwork
& for home projects.

The trail passes beneath
a highway.

Eric looks for wildlife
at a fishing pier a short
walk from the trail.

 The view here is beautiful.

The trail ends at Arrowhead Park.
Eric rides his bike in circles
while I take pictures.

Eric checks out the work on
the bridge at the end of
our ride.

Eric retired from the Department
of Transportation for 31 years &
likes to "inspect" jobs as we travel.

The Flint River Trail from Riverside Park to Arrowhead Park is an easy 2.5 mile ride.  There are a few rises that are easy when a for riders with ten speed bikes.
