A Cold Afternoon at the Beach

Dave, Kathy & I stand in front
of rocks that were brought in
to prevent beach erosion.

A short distance from the
Fort Fisher Historic Site are
rows & rows of town houses.

Windswept trees & bushes hide the Fort Fisher Museum.

Eric on the steps of the Fort

A Great Blue Heron glides over
the salt marshes.

Dave, Kathy, Eric & I walk
along a breakwater.

Eric & I cast bundled up
shadows.

Giant cranes loom above

The condition of the breakwater
gets uneven & moss covered.

Back on shore, Kathy &
Eric pose with a tree that
has exposed roots.

The ferry is loading people,
cars & goods for the run
 to Southport.

We are windblown and cold.  Let's warm up at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.
