Fueling Up at the Pilot Travel Center in Empora, Virginia

Eric puts our Pilot
Flying J RV Plus Card
in the gas pump slot.

Eric and I fuel up at Pilot Flying J Travel Centers whenever possible because their diesel is fresh.   Old, watery diesel can clog the fuel filter and make the engine run rough.

Several years ago we took advantage of an offer to upgrade our Good Sam Membership to  Good Sam Lifetime , we get 8 cents off per gallon of diesel fuel.  With our discount, we paid $3.71/9 per gallon to fill the motorhome's fuel tank.

I pop inside to check
out the store.

Highway Logs, Cup Holder
Ash Trays & Supplies for
Cars & Trucks

Small Appliances, Engine
Degreasers, Gas Additives,
Motor Oil, Cigarettes & Soda

LOTS of Snack Foods

Bottled Water & Juice

Lots of Insulated Cups
& Pastries

Fresh Subs & Salads

Truckers need to stop at a grocery store if they need fruits, vegetables, canned goods, etc.

We will take a hard left to
follow the driveway out to
the road.

Truckers use the scales to check
the weight of their loads.

It's just 26 miles to The Club Lake Gaston Resort.  We'll arrive there in about thirty minutes.
