Cheap Gas & Cigarettes in Southern Virginia

Eric and I have been watching gas prices fall since we started our drive south on November 30.  In New York, unleaded gas was $2.89 per gallon.  In Pennsylvania we saw gas prices at $2.68 per gallon.  Maryland was a gas shopper's haven with gas prices falling to $2.59 per gallon.

And, we found unleaded gas at Woodruff's near Gasburg, Virginia at $2.39 per gallon!  Last week gas was selling at this gas station for $2.53 per gallon.

Eric tops off the Jeep's gas tank at
a great price.

I found a 2010 Times Union article that found cigarettes in New York State in cost at least $8.00 a pack.  Four years later, a pack of Marlboro cigarettes purchased in Albany ranges in price from $9.09 to $11.99.

Woodruff's sells Tahoe Cigarettes for $3.09 per pack &
Bailey's Menthols for $3.29 per pack.

No, we didn't buy any cigarettes.  Eric and I gave up smoking decades ago, and we aren't profiteers. It's illegal to resell lower price cigarettes from Virginia in New York.   It's been said, "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time."  We're too busy traveling to do a stint
in jail.
