An Evening at the Theater: The Rocky Horror Show at Schenectady Light Opera Company

Eric bought tickets
for a play at  the
Schenectady Light
Opera Copany.

We are going to a performance

Schenectady Light Opera Company was created by alumni of the former Draper and Van Corlear High Schools in 1926.  The area residents come together to produce and perform in musicals during the spring and fall seasons.

We met Eric's sister, Karen, and Ritchie at the theater.

Karen bought Rocky Horror

We toss confetti, put newspaper
on our heads, wave glow sticks,
throw toilet paper,clap with a
small clapper toy & ring bells
at specific times during the play.

And, we get a copy of
The Time Warp refrain,
so we can sing along...

Midnight screenings of the 1975 film developed a cult following.  Audience members dress up as characters in The Rocky Horror Show, shout specific lines during scenes and throw items at the screen.  There will be "shout outs" during the play.  We and other audience members will be part of the fun,

The lights dim...

The opening song tells the audience about the play.
     Science fiction (ooh ooh ooh) double feature;
Doctor X (ooh ooh ooh) will build a creature....
     (Written by Richard O'Brien)

The cast is having a great time & the audience is participating...
Let's do the time warp again!
