Sampling Local Restaurant Fare @ Taste of Ellicottville in Ellicottville New York

Taste of Ellicottville is a two day event.  Local restaurants sell samples of their best dishes.  Last year restaurants ran out of food.  From what I read in The Villager, more food was bought for this year's tastings.

Sysco provided the signs
& tickets for the event.

Samples cost from
$1.00 to $4.00.

Eric and I arrived just after 12:00 pm, when Taste of Ellicottville started and found a good sized crowd walking around.

I must thank Diane from Wine of Ellicottville for giving us great advice on where to park.  We left our Jeep just one block from the the food tents.

Businesses put merchandise
out on the sidewalk.

Dee-lish!

The crowds continued to
grow throughout
the afternoon.

Most of our samples were foods that are easy to eat while walking.

The signposts list the
stores on each street.

I like this.

Eric & I both liked the
Shepherd's Pie made with
a light flaky crust.

Husbands are welcome to hang out on the porch while their wives shop.  A great idea!
