Enjoying Rice Park in Downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota

Land was donated to Saint Paul in 1849 for an open public space.  Over the years additions to Rice Park made it a comfortable place to spend time.
 






was donated by the Women's
Institute of Saint Paul in 1965.






The statue and the fountain represents Rice Park as the source of cultural, political, educational and natural resources in Saint Paul.

 The F. Scott Fitzgerald statue was
created to celebrate the Saint Paul
 native author's 100th birthday.






The plantings are
beautiful.







Charles M. Shulz lived in Saint Paul while starting his career as a cartoonist.  His Peanuts characters are seen throughout Rice Park.
