Driving Southeast to Watson Lake, Yukon Territory

Eric and I are driving southeast to Watson Lake.  After we visited in May and left our sign at the Sign Post Forest, we got an email from our friends, John and Carol.  They drove to Alaska in 2004 and added their sign in the Sign Post Forest.  We were asked to locate the sign and take a picture.  John provided directions for us.

We didn't write down directions to the sign we nailed sign to a post on May 17.  We have the opportunity to write directions to our sign for future reference.

It's a grey day.

Clouds shroud the
mountains.

These clouds look like
cotton batting.

We cross the bridge over

We are driving the Alaska
Highway today.

It's noon & the skies
are not clearing.

Four RVs are parked in
this pull off.

I wonder if they are
traveling together.

We drive through
Upper Liard.

I like the sign.

Since we stayed in the area in May, Canadians have told me great things about the Liard Hot Springs.  The water from the spring runs into a nearby creek, making the water nice and warm for swimmers.

The hot springs are very hot and the sides are mud.  People come here to take "the mud."  They love it!

After fueling up, Eric & I
will go to the Sign Forest Post
to find John & Carol's sign.
