Taking the Alyeska Aerial Tram To the Top o Mount Alyeska in Girdwood, Alaska

We are going to the Alyeska
Resort in Girdwood to ride
an aerial tram up the top of
Mount Alyeska.

We are using a coupon from the

Our $99.00 investment has more
than paid for itself & allowed us
 to expand our touring options.

The cost of the aerial tram ride
is $25.00 per person.

We purchased one ticket &
got the the second one free.

The tram ascends 2,300 feet to the top of Mount Alyeska.

I don't see any dangling wires...

Let's get on the tram.

We are under loaded with
16 passengers & the tram
car operator.

The Alyeska Hotel & Tram House
from the rear of  the tram.

This is the zigzag trail that hikers
use to climb the mountain.

We approach The Round House
& the ski lift.

The ski lift is used to bring staff
to the top of the mountain.

At the top of Mount Alyeska are two restaurants and the Round House Gift Shop and hiking trails.

Turnagain Arm lies below.

Hikers should report unexploded
artillery shells to the staff.

During the winter months, explosions are set off to cause controlled avalanches on the mountainside.  Not every shell that is set up explodes.

After returning to the Tramway Station and walking the grounds, Eric and I make a discovery.

A small helicopter in a small
clearing starts its engine &
prepares to take off.
