Dive Bars in Seward, Alaska

There are a number of older bars in Seward, Alaska.  I looked up the definition of dive bar and liked the Urban Dictionary's definition...  A well-worn, unglamorous bar, often serving a cheap, simple selection of drinks to a regular clientele.

The Yukon Bar
allows smoking.

Life rings & dollar bills
hang from the ceiling.

The beer is on ice.

smoke free two years ago.

The conversation was
fast paced.

We met an Alaskan & a
New Yorker from the
Lake Placid area.

Eric got an Alaskan White
Ale here.

been smoke free since April 1.

Step into the late 1950s, early 1960s
& enjoy the extensive collection of
Jim Beam Bourbon bottles on display.

I imagined seeing Dean Martin,
talking & drinking at a corner table.

None of these bars appeared to be notorious.  All the locals I spoke with described them and if there are sordid stories that go with them, they neglected to share them.
