Camping Waterside at Marathon Campground in Seward, Alaska

Eric & I are spending four

nights at Marathon

 Campground in Seward.

This campground and five others along the shore in Seward are operated by the city.  Previous to the 9.2 1964 Earthquake,  this land was railroad yards and storage.   Following the Earthquake, Tsunami hit the shore and devastated the area.  Rebuilding the Seward waterfront included creating campgrounds for visitors to use.

available.

Two Dump Stations are across
the street with two
Potable Water Hookups.

Waterside sites don't have electricity
& cost $15.00 per night for RVs.

Sites with electricity cost
$30.00 per night.

Tenters pay $10.00 per night.

Campsites have fire rings.

We have a great view of

Resurrection Bay.

We have 3G Verizon Cellular Service here, except for when a lot of people are using cell phones and WiFi. The 3G service drops to 1x and we are lucky to get email  downloads.

No luck with DirecTV satellite TV reception here.
