Beluga Point South of Anchorage, Alaska

Driving south along Alaska
Route 1 along Turnagain
Arm to Beluga Point.

Beluga Point is named for the Beluga Whale, which is often seen in the waters of Turnagain Arm.

There are railroad tracks between the rocky
outcrop and the road.

We watch people ignore the
No Trespassing sign to walk
out to the Point as it starts
to sprinkle.

Rain forces us back
into the car.

I'm glad I got a few pictures
before the rain came.
