The John Wayne Marina on Sequim Bay

John Wayne loved to sail off the northern shore of the Olympic Peninsula.  He frequently sailed the Wild Goose, the family yacht, in Sequim Bay (pronounced Skwim) and thought this would be a great spot for a marina.  In 1985 the marina was built on 22 acres donated by the John Wayne family.

John Wayne Marina has permanent and guest moorage.  There is a boat ramp, fuel facilities, access to the public beach and a picnic area.  The Dockside Grill is open Wednesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner.  Banquet facilities are available for all types of events.

The John Wayne Marina is
located at Pitship Point
on Sequim Bay.

The Dockside Grill has
great reviews on yelp.com

We are visiting on a
bright, sunny day.

Moorage here is
secure.

There's probably hundreds
of millions of dollars in boats
docked here.

John Wayne was right.  This is the perfect place for a marina.
