Our Drive to Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada

Heading north on Route 2,
we come across cyclists
preparing for a race.

Boulders jut out
toward the roadway.

Canadian Customs

The Customs Agent entered
the cab of the motorhome
to ask questions...

We breezed right through.

Fog obscures part of the
mountain in Tormented Valley.

We're back in the
Yukon Territory.

Mama Bear & Baby Bear
cross the road.

Bove Island

Carcross Desert is actually
a lake bed.

Caribou Crossing has a Cafe
& Ice Cream Parlor

A Gift Shop &
Wildlife Museum

Welcome to Whitehorse

We are staying at Walmart
 for a few nights.

Walmart posted a sign for
RV customers.

An aerial photo shows
where RVs are allowed
to park.

Walmart and McDonald's have WiFi that we can pick up in the motorhome.

An unexpected perk in Whitehorse:  We are able to get DirecTV satellite TV this far north.  We are pleased to be able to watch the news and our favorite programs while we are here.

We plan to explore Whitehorse, stock up on groceries and do laundry before continuing on to Haines, Alaska.
