The Contemporary Art Galley in Vancouver, British Columbia

Eric and I got to Vancouver early so we could visit the Contemporary Art Gallery and spend some time walking around.  The Contemporary Art Gallery is committing to assisting Canadian artists and provides an accessible space for Canadian art collections.

Eric & I love

Artist Kevin Schmidt displays the
weather balloon & equipment used
to take high altitude photographs
for his exhibit.

Using a homemade camera &
large format slide projection,
Kevin Schmidt presents High
Altitude Balloon Harmless
 Amateur Radio Equipment.

The exhibition space is large.  What to do with all the space?

Eric decides to interact
with art.

He's enjoying his time
as part of the exhibit.

The clouds hovering above
earth slowly turn as the
photos are projected.

A watercolor of

The Electronic Digital Music House is Kevin Schmidt's treatise on the parallel of the settlers' need to escape to a new new surroundings a century ago to the "Do It Yourself" culture that counters corporate dominance today.

Schmidt's base heavy
EDM composition is
very engaging.

This abandoned 1905 cabin
located in British Columbia's
interior is the setting...

... for a coordinated
light & music show.

The music changes with the
artist's perspective...

... stopping visitors in
their tracks....

...as they sit in the dark &
watch the house change, the
music underscores isolation &
 the beauty of an individual's
unique interpretation of the scene.
