Driving North to the Olympic Peninsula

Another drive on a
rainy day.

We are driving to a

campground west of

Forks. Washington.

Eric likes this stretch of
road lined with the trees,
allowing just a glimpse
of the mountain beyond.

We love the way the

fog trails down the

mountainside.

U.S. Route 101 hugs

the Pacific Coast.

The first motorcyclist holds

on to his hat in the rain.

The fire threat is low today.

No surprise, as it's been
raining for five days.

We enter Forks.

Eric fills the motorhome with

diesel at $4.02 a gallon.

Just up the street, diesel

is $4.17 a gallon.

for four nights.
