Virginia City, Nevada

The road twists & turns
towards Virginia City.

There are cars parked on both sides of the road as we enter Virginia City.  There are people everywhere! Many are wearing green.  It's Saturday, March 15....  The Saint Patrick's Day Parade is about to start.

Antique & classic cars
 are lining up.

Fourth Ward School
built in 1875

A trio of leprechauns

Some cars show off
their engines.

Columbus commandeered
this Jeep.

This woman sports a parasol
in the bright sunlight.

I catch a shot of Eric in front
of First Presbyterian Church,
built in 1862.

People are starting to line
the wooden sidewalks on
the parade route.

We come across a woman
window shopping.

Museum is housed in the old
firehouse, built in 1864.

Many buildings have second
story porches.

In some spots the crowds are seven and eight people deep.  I see candy and coins fly over peoples' heads as the parade passes.

People on the second story
porch have a great view
of the parade.

Motorcycles line
the street.

It was a beautiful day
for a parade.
