The Visitors Center at Valley of Fire State Park in Overton, Nevada

I can't wait to see the
red rock formations here.

The Valley of Fire Visitors Center
sits at the base of a wall of red
sandstone.

Eric inspects a hole in the
sandstone caused by wind.

This little bird flitted around
outside of the Visitors Center.

A display of wildlife &
artifacts left by early man.

Archaeological evidence shows that small groups of families lived in the Valley of Fire from 300 BC to 1150 AD.

This stone has been worn smooth
from grinding nuts, seeds &
other hard objects against it.

Static displays detail the
plants & animals that live
in the Valley of Fire.

Displays include live creatures from the neighborhood.

A California Kingsnake

The Scorpion is easily seen
under a black light

found in the park.
