Parker Dam in Parker, Arizona

We see VERY LARGE
power lines in the distance...

Eric takes a left & drives into
the Parker Dam Security Zone.

.

We drive across the dam.

And turn around to see the
superstructure of the dam.

We actually see very little of the dam's superstructure....  Seventy-three percent of the superstructure is not visible.  Parker Dam is known as the deepest dam in the world.

The hydroelectric power station
with massive power lines.

Parker Dam was built in the 1930s, with a lot of controversy.  The Supreme Court dismissed an injunction issued by Arizona Governor Moeur, who was concerned that Arizona would not have access to its share of the water from this project.

The deep blue water that is backed up by the Parker Dam created an oasis in the desert.  Lake Havasu City bloomed with the abundance of water as the result of this project.
