The Visitor Center at Panther Junction in Big Bend National Park









All roads lead to Panther Junction
Visitors Center.





This visitors center has a Post Office that is open from 9 am to 3 pm.

Many dinosaur fossilshave
been found in the area.










was sent to this area to plant
threes & build roads in 1933.

The Park was established on
 June 6, 1944.










The course of the Rio Grande
River has changed in just
70 years.








This display explains why this
area is arid....

It is bordered on three sides
by mountains that block
moisture bearing clouds
from dropping significant
rain in this area.
