Tamale Festival in Somerton, Arizona






The Tamale Festival is
big doings....

This is the seventh year










A local group serenades
the crowd.

Postres y Mas











Airbrush Tattoos









Pots are steaming
with tamales.










The event is covered by a
local television station.








A local middle school
sells snacks.


The Tamale Festival is a scholarship fundraiser by the El Diablito Arizona State University Alumni Chapter. It is one of several fundraisers by this group to assist students with financial needs.







So, were are the tamales?

Eric bought a strawberry
tamale for us to try.







It's crowded here.

These kids play as their
parents enjoy the festival.

The audience joins in
a Zumba demonstration.





It's early afternoon and the festival continues until 10 pm.  I hope they have enough tamales...
