Driving Cactus Forest Drive in Saguaro National Park

This eight mile loop road
shows off the beauty of
Saguaro National Park.

Saguaro cacti dot the
hillsides, but prickly pear
 cacti are everywhere!

An immature saguaro is
close to the rod, on
the left.

the foreground of this shot
with a saguaro.

We pass the Loma Verde
Trailhead.

This saguaro is perfectly
formed.

When saguaros die off the
woody center of the cactus
is exposed, like the saguaro
on the left of this picture.
