Update on the States We've Visited So Far

Eric and I have been documenting states we visit after we sold our house and started full-timing in April 2012.  There are many ways to count states visited while traveling.  Many people count states they have visited by crossing individual borders.  We decided that in order to count a state as visited, we had to spend a night and have completed an activity.

Our home state of New York is purple.  Maryland, Virginia, and New Hampshire are colored in because we stayed a night in each state and visited with family in each.  North Carolina is included because we went to  a SKP Acre Rally in April 2012.  All the other states included in this graphic were visited and blogged about after our retirement in September 2012.

We continue to visit family and friends in Kentucky, South Carolina, Florida, Louisiana and Texas.  As we plan our drive across Texas into New Mexico, I tell Eric where our relatives currently live and if possible, we will arrange visits.

Do we have a favorite state or states, so far?  Since last November, we've visited another seven states. We continue to be wowed over and over again by the geography of this vast country.  After nineteen months of full-timing, we still have do not have a favorite state.  I promise an announcement when we make our decision.
