Livingston Lake Dam

Lake Livingston is operated by the Trinity River Authority of Texas.  It was completed in 1969 and covers 93,000 acres, is 39 miles long and 7 miles at its widest point.  Lake Livingston has 450 miles of lake frontage.

Trinity River Authority has pushing to use the dam to make hydroelectric power. Construction for hydroelectric power generation is expected to be completed by the end of 2013.
