Langtry, Texas

I found the Post Office in
Langtry to be unusual.

Locals can start picking up
their mail at 8:45 am.

Outgoing mail is picked
up at 11:30 am.

Wanted Posters are
available for perusal..

Langtry's population is currently about 50.  This is where the Southern Pacific Railroad laid tracks to complete construction of the southern transcontinental railway line.

Some of the houses
are well kept.

Some are in ruins.

Prickly Pear Cacti.

Where are we staying in
 this tiny town?

At the Wagon Wheel RV Park
 for $20.00 per night with
 full hookups.
