Visiting Ottawa, Canada's Capital City

We drove along the Rideau River
as we entered downtown Ottawa.

Hey!  They have
pay phones here.

There are double-decker
buses here.

We bought postage paid post cards
at the Post Office.

The Postal Clerk hand stamped
them with a special Ottawa stamp.

Ottawa Electric Building
is now Smith Books

D'Arcy McGee's Irish Pub
is on the first floor of
this building.

East Block on Parliament Hill
houses Canada's Senators.

I love buildings with
doors located on the corner.

The dedicated bike lanes
are physically separated
from the car lanes.

Every city must have

The mail boxes are
easy to find.

This wrap around porch
caught my eye...

I love the brightly
colored store fronts.

We found Ottawa to be very walkable.  There are lots of crosswalks and the drivers are alert to pedestrians.  I liked the wide variety of stores.  There's lots to keep visitors here.
