On our way back to The French Quarter RV Resort, after our visit to Chalmette Battlefield, we were stopped in traffic, for what we thought was a Mardi Gras Parade. There were large trucks, free standing tents, street vendors and lots of people in costumes.
We thought a parade was on the way or had just passed. As all of this was taking place close to the RV Resort, we walked over to watch the scene.
I'm confused.....
everyone is moving
across the street.
People on floats throw
trinkets from both sides.
We ask a man wearing
an ID badge about what's going on.
