Headed East to Bringham City, Utah

Eric and I are sticking to the rule we just established.....  We drive 300 miles or 6 hours, max, per day.  About 300 miles east of Boise, ID  is Brigham City, UT.

Eric talked with Chet, another RVer at Cummins Rocky Mountain Coach Care Center before we left this morning.  Chet recommended we stop at the HWH Company on our way out of Iowa in a week or so. The HWH company makes the leveler system in our RV and they are famous for customer care. They can check and calibrate our leveler system and update the software for it. It may cost a little but passing so near to the factory without stopping would be passing up a unique chance to have one of our most used systems checked and tweaked.

We stopped at the Flying J in Boise and Eric found out that he had the wrong type of discount card... Trucker's Discount.  The nice lady at cash register got Eric the correct discount card for RVers.

Brian gave Eric a pod of soap
that is used in their 5 gallon
buckets with squeegees for
cleaning windshields.

Eric and I had an easy drive through Idaho into Northwest Utah.

I was fascinated by this concrete
reinforced earth wall structure.

 That's not all roadway,
it's a vertical wall
holding back the mountain.
They are pretty common
but this one was particularly large,
long and two tiered.

There are two walls.
One for each direction
of the highway.

This is interesting.

That's a tall retaining wall
 next to this highway.

Go ITD!
(Idaho Transportation Department)

This pile looks like
it doesn't belong here.

Eric & I were at a Rest Stop
& noticed a noxious smell....

The truck next to us
had a lot of poo
in the trailer.
No cattle, just their poo!

We saw burnt land probably
from a grass fire.
It went on for miles.....
That big black area
is not a cloud shadow...
just burnt grass.

In Northern Utah
 the mountains folded
 on themselves.

 We saw clouds....
Haven't seen them in weeks.
The sky has been 100% clear
for weeks on our trip.

Eric called to ask for permission to park & was told not to park by the road, park by the water.   It's dry now and all we see are the cattails in the low, wet area next to the parking lot.

We settle in..... YAY free camping!

Our spot for the night.
Best view from a
 Walmart parking lot EVER!!
