Our Christmas Dinner @ Julieanna's Steak & Seafood Restauant in Yuma, Arizona

Eric & I are at Julieanna's Steak & Seafood Restaurant for Christmas Dinner.

For us, celebrating Christmas is about sharing an experience.  It's easier than shopping and later finding places for the gifts we'd give each other in our motorhome (320 square feet of living space).

I chat with Santa.

He's perplexed by
my request.

Providing good health for those I love is a tough request to fulfill.

Carla, our Server took this
photo for us.

Thanks, Carla!

We are here for a leisurely dinner and to enjoy...

musical stylings.

Their smooth music is the
perfect dinner accompaniment.

Brie with Carmelized Apple
& Fig Spread
Wild Mushrooms & Lardons
Caprese
Roasted Tomato

The Bruschettas pairs well
with our Martinis.

Eric and I are delighted with each uniquely comprised Bruchetta.  The ingredients were carefully chosen for flavor combinations and presentations.

We pair Chardonnay with our
with Blue Corn Chips.

The Ahi Tuna and Aguachile are light and fresh.  The Spicey Salsa Rustica and Blue Corn Chips complete the flavorful dish.

a Loaded Potato Volcano
& Eric's Chef Eddie's
Cauliflower Mac & Cheese
with his Boneless Ribeye
Steak.

Our wine choice for this
course is Malbec.

Our Ribeye Steaks are cooked to our preference, Medium Rare.  My Loaded Potato Volcano is decadent.  Eric's Chef Eddie's Cauliflower Mac a Cheese flavor combination is delicious.

The best part of our leisurely dinner is that Eric and I have room for dessert.

Pinot Noir is paired with my
NY Cheesecake Topped
with Raspberry Sauce &
Eric's Chocolate Cake.

Shared desserts are the best!  The Pinot Noir, a new wine to us, was an excellent choice for this final course.

Eric and I created new memories.  The conversation was wonderful, as usual, and the jokes ranged from Dad Jokes (groaners) to cuttingly witty.

Thank you, Carla, Chef Eddie, Julieanna's Staff, and Yuma Jazz Company for making our Christmas Dinner a feast for the body and for the soul.

Rachel Determan Memorial Rib Cook-Off & Car Show in Yuma, AZ: The Bicycles

This is the first Car Show I've been to that displayed bicycles.

This beautiful rainbow bike
has a spare tire attached to
sit at the base of the bike.

There's also an ad for Children's
Miracle Network in Spanish.

The chopped motorcycle fork
is this bike's major feature.

The motorcycle inspired frame,
head light & ape-hanger handle
bars contrast with a traditional
bike fork.

Red, white & black...

The bike frame sits so low to
the ground that there's no way
it would be ever used for
 casual riding.

This metalpinstriped bike seat
makes it obvious that no one
rides this bike for fun.

The bike frame & custom bike
rims are artistic features.

Easy Rider???

The 1950s live again with the
plaque between the cross bars,
 like the Schwinn Phantom.
I like the custom built bikes.  The builders used creativity and ingenuity to asssemble each unique bike.

Rachel Determan Memorial Rib Cook-Off & Car Show in Yuma, AZ: The Trucks

I always like looking at the trucks.  There's always a lot of variety...

The third door is the tailgate.

It has a flareside
truck bed.

 It has a fleetside

I'm learning new truck terms today...

Pickup Truck

equipped with a roll bar

Ford developed the first sleeker, low-profile Ranchero pickup truck and started selling it in 1957.  The first  Chevrolet El Camino was available to the public in 1959.

The front end of this truck
intrigues me...

Here's a photo from the internet
showing the front end with
the hood down.
with a souped up engine

I got nostalgic for my formative years in the 1960s into the early 1980s.

Rachel Determan Memorial Rib Cook-Off & Car Show in Yuma, AZ: The Cars

Eric and I are vaccinated and going to Community Events in Yuma this winter.

We drove to Yuma's Catholic

Eric bought Food Tickets.

There will be Ribs...

The Vintage Car Show is
displayed on the School's
Football Field.

There are about 100 cars, trucks, and uniquely crafted bicycles here.  I'm featuring cars, trucks, and bikes in different posts.

This 1940 Ford Deluxe
display is whimsical.

The paint job on this 1937
Ford Coupe's paint job is
a work of art.

1956 Chevrolet Del Ray

I'm delighted to see a 1973

For me, this is a rare
find at a car show.

98-Holiday is being
raffled off.

The drawing will be at
Midnight @ The Oasis
March 4 - 6, 2022.

We have Corn on the Cob

The two-door 1931 Ford
Tudor Sedan is getting
lots of attention...

The interior is meticulous.

It's great to see two at
a show.

It's outfitted for the beach.

1965 Volkswagen Beetle

Its rear engine is on display.

The weather in the Southwest is perfect for car shows.  Today's selection of cars included many makes and models.  I look forward to Midnight at the Oasis next March.
